Introduction:

This project is an educational trip that helps to keep alive the connection among Latin jammers that attended the two Latin jams organized in South America in 2003 and 2005. The main purpose of this trip is to see how they are applying and developing in their local realities the core ideas shared in the jams.

This trip is going to start in Rio de Janeiro in January 2007 in direction to the south and after northward passing by São Paulo, Curitiba, Florianopolis, Porto Alegre, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, and Cordoba, Santiago, Assumpção, Cochabamba, Lima, Rio Branco, Manaus, Fortaleza, Salvador finishing in Brasilia. The time is of approximately 50 days.

Objectives:

In each stop I will be put up by jammers. I will ask them to invite other local organizations to have a meeting to talk about Jam, social projects, their struggle for justice and a better living, and to watch movies including the Yes´s movies and others. In each city I will raise some key questions to the jammers and their communities:

1. what is the real room for diversity in your life?
2. What things do you think contribute to promote diversity?
3. What are the main driven forces in South America that erode diversity (cultural and biological)?
4. What do you think jam project could help South American organizations, citizens and individuals that are working for enhancing diversity, justice and sustainability?
5. How has your life evolved since you participated in the Latin Jam? What are the impacts and results of this experience in your life and community?

In each stop Latin jammers will be invited to shre videos, photos, materials and articles to be shared with other Latin jammers in the next cities.
